The Reformed Gangster
Hashmi plays Shivam Pandit, a character who attempts to abandon a criminal lifestyle but is forced to reconsider his decision after a certain incident. His return in this action sequel, directed by Nitin Kakkar, presents a story of a traumatized, reformed gangster.
Shivam Pandit is approached by an Indian Interpol officer, Samart Singh (Atul Kumar), to infiltrate a gang based in Bangkok. This gang is heavily involved in drug smuggling and the trafficking of young Indian women.
Ultimately, Shivam agrees and becomes the boss of the gang, led by the cruel and emotionless young Zorawar (Puran Gabbi), who plays an eccentric, often exaggerated role. Zorawar has a brother with autism and a sister, Zara (Disha Patani), who wishes to leave the criminal world their father raised them in, focusing on music, which sparks a romantic interest for Shivam.
However, Shivam's plans become complicated by involvement in the rivalry between Zorawar's gang and another group led by Nafisa Nawaz (veteran Shabana Azmi in an unusual role). The script is packed with action, as the plot centers on crimes such as racketeering, money laundering, and murder, alongside constant shifts in loyalty.
Hashmi delivers a strong performance, showcasing the struggle with the emotional trauma sustained in the first film, which prevents him from finding peace.
