Participants of the NEET PG exam who arrived at Sitapura on Sunday were unable to take the test due to a sudden power outage at the examination center. The lack of electricity prevented the completion of the tasks, causing difficulties for the attending students. Consequently, a committee was formed to investigate the causes of the power supply failure and determine the circumstances of the exam interruption.
The committee included a senior government official from Rajasthan, a central-level Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Health, and a senior engineer from the Central Power Authority. The committee will investigate the incident and submit its report within the stipulated time frame.
NBEMS announced that the exam for 2445 affected candidates whose centers were impacted will be re-conducted on September 5th at 3:00 PM in Jaipur. NBEMS expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the candidates, emphasizing that the re-session is necessary to ensure equal and impartial opportunities for all affected participants.
Previously, reports circulated on social media regarding the leakage of exam materials. However, fact-checking by PIB refuted these claims, labeling them misleading. PIB Fact Check stated on X that no instances of NEET-PG question leaks in Jaipur have been recorded.
According to PIB data, technical problems caused by electricity issues at the Ion Digital Zone IDZ Sitapura centers in Jaipur led to the disruption of the exam. The Fact Check also confirmed that the exam for the affected candidates will take place again on September 5th.
