As the scale of the tragedy in Nepal becomes more apparent, the death toll continues to rise: over 600 people have died, and 2,498 remain missing.
Lokesh Joshi, who worked at the Rasuwa Customs Office near the Chinese border, told CGTN that he managed to survive by quickly climbing up the mountain slope as swift floodwaters rushed into the area. Other people were swept away by the water. He noted: 'It all ended in three minutes.'
