Rua da Música has completed its first year of operation in Jaime Lerner Park, located in Curitiba. Inaugurated in July 2025, this new attraction has established itself among other important tourist spots in the city, such as the Ópera de Arame and Pedreira Paulo Leminski, contributing to a 40% increase in park visitor flow over the last year. Currently, the venue receives more than 50 thousand people monthly.
The great popularity of the space is attributed to its very intense musical programming. From Tuesday to Saturday, the venue hosts performances from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM, and on Sundays, until 6:00 PM. Two stages are used to host artists and groups from the Paraná capital, covering musical styles ranging from jazz to rock. During the daytime, instrumental performances predominate, while at night, rhythms more suitable for dancing are presented, with DJ participation.
Over this first year, more than 5 thousand hours of music have been accumulated. In addition to shows, the space hosted various special activities, including World Cup broadcasts, events for children, and fairs organized by local entrepreneurs, totaling over 40 events during the period.
The complex was conceived by the firm Jaime Lerner Arquitetos Associados, with landscaping done by Eira Arquitetura, and it also features a recording studio and two galleries dedicated to exhibitions.
First Anniversary Celebration
The debut anniversary was celebrated between August 7th and 9th. The celebration featured a concert by the band Blitz, followed by performances by the Rua da Música Big Band. This group consists of 16 musicians who performed on the complex's stages throughout the last year, presenting a repertoire that mixes soul, funk, groove, and classic Brazilian and international songs. JazzBop and Banda Lira Curitibana also participated in the party, which offered open bar and open food.
Gastronomic Offerings
Currently, Rua da Música houses four distinct gastronomic establishments: Cão Véio, a gastropub signed by Masterchef Henrique Fogaça, which serves burgers and has a selection of craft beers; Cana Benta, a bar and restaurant specializing in boteco food and special cachaças, being the second unit of the brand in Curitiba; Ernesto, a restaurant run by Chef Dudu Sperandio, offering Italian cuisine and signature dishes in a welcoming environment, adopting the Music Hall style with a repertoire of jazz, blues, and classic rock; and Mustang Sally, which evokes American diners from the 1960s, focusing on Tex-Mex seasoning and Mexican-influenced recipes.
Ongoing Musical Experiences
In the morning, the complex is part of the Música & Natureza Experience program, a permanent festival dedicated to live instrumental performances. This attraction takes place daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, utilizing the stages of Rua da Música, Pedreira Paulo Leminski, and the floating stage Vale da Música, located near the Ópera de Arame.
For the coming months, new sequences of special events are planned at the park, involving Pedreira Paulo Leminski and Ópera de Arame.
Visitor Information
The location is at Rua João Gava, 970 – Jaime Lerner Park, Abranches. Operating hours are: Tuesday to Thursday, from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM; Friday and Saturday, from 11:30 AM to 12:00 AM; and Sunday, from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Mondays are closed for the festival and gastronomic operations, although the park remains open for free visitation.
Tickets start from R$ 30 (full price) and R$ 15 (half price), available through the DiskIngressos platform or at the physical ticket office, which operates Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 5:50 PM, accepting payments via PIX or debit and credit cards.
