Trump wrote on Truth Social that under his directive, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegset, in close cooperation with the Honorable interim President of Venezuela, Dilcy Rodriguez, and through a partnership with private business, secured a controlling stake of American control over more than 65 billion barrels of proven oil reserves in Venezuela, and this was done without any cost to American taxpayers.
The article's author asserts that Trump's open colonialism has reached its peak. As time goes on, the oil-hungry president reveals his true motive in the order to seize the Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro in January 2026.
He is now shamelessly boasting about his administration's theft of Venezuelan oil, claiming it will 'MORE THAN DOUBLE American oil reserves.' Trump also calls it the 'BIGGEST OIL DEAL IN HISTORY!'; however, according to the author, the correct phrasing is 'the biggest oil plunder in history!'. He labels it a 'Historic transaction,' but the author considers it a 'historic plunder.'
Maduro's ineffective governance of the country, which has caused great economic hardship for Venezuelans due to populist and inexperienced economic policies, does not give Trump the right to steal Venezuelan oil. The author notes the strangeness and even comedy of Trump's statement that he instructed Rubio and Hegset to strike this deal, as state and war secretaries should not be doing this in a normal oil transaction.

These are predatory, mafia United States,' as quoted by the British newspaper Guardian.
Trump, who began his second presidency with an attempt to reclaim ownership of the Panama Canal, naming Canada as the 51st American state and threatening to forcibly take Greenland, does not shy away from committing any illegal acts if he does not face serious resistance. The author mentions that Trump dreamed of a scenario similar to Venezuela for Iran, when the US and Israel jointly launched a sudden act of aggression against Iran on February 28.
His ardent supporter, Senator Lindsey Graham, who passed away on July 11, told Fox News on March 9 that 'Venezuela and Iran possess 31 percent of global oil reserves. We will have a partnership with 31 percent of known reserves.'
However, the unjustified war against Iran proved catastrophic for Trump and greatly ridiculed America's highly praised military might; now his administration is making great efforts to climb out of this quagmire. To reassure American citizens about high gas prices resulting from the war against Iran, especially ahead of upcoming congressional midterm elections, Trump states that this deal with Venezuela will 'significantly lower gas prices for all Americans.'
As expected, Rubio also called the deal a 'big victory for both the American and Venezuelan people.' But how Venezuela will benefit from this period of colonial plunder remains an open question. According to CNN, Rodriguez, with American support, granted a private company 100-year concessions on oil fields.
It is striking that Trump and his biased team have proven they show no mercy to friends or enemies. The greedy view of Canada as a close friend-neighbor and Greenland as an autonomous region of Denmark, which is a member of the European Union and NATO, says a lot. His order of January 20, 2025, to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the 'Gulf of America,' and then the executive order of August 27, 2026, mandating the federal government to rename Lake Ontario to 'Lake America,' are further signs of his impulsive and dangerous instincts.
Before it is too late, the international community, especially the EU, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and other American friends, must firmly oppose the open plunder of the Trump administration and its vulgar threats regarding the lands and sovereignty of other countries. These alliances and countries could become victims of the US if they do nothing and wait for Trump to leave the White House, as he sets a bad precedent.
The world must realize that Trump's mission is not to 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,' but to make America a country run by robbers and hooligans.
