Real Madrid defeats Malaga 4-0 with goals from Bellingham and Mbappé

Real midfielder Jude Bellingham and forward Kylian Mbappé scored goals in Real's confident 4-0 victory over Malaga at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid. This triumph continued Real's perfect start to La Liga under José Mourinho.

The 'Whites' scored three times in less than ten minutes in the first half, allowing them to establish a comfortable lead over the Andalusian guests at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. Among the goals scored during this period was Malaga goalkeeper Alfonso Errero's own goal, and Arda Güler scored the fourth goal closer to the end of the half.

Real's confidence was high after two victories in the first two matches of the season, as well as thanks to the good play of the star trio consisting of Mbappé, Bellingham, and Vinícius Júnior. Mourinho rotated the squad, making five changes to the team that started the first games, giving Trent Alexander-Arnold and Marc Cucurella their first starts of the season.

Bellingham opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a magnificent individual goal, beating two defenders and shooting past Errero. Seven minutes later, Bellingham helped score the second goal after Errero saved a shot from Mbappé. The English player headed the rebound into the net, and defender Carlos Puga desperately tried to block the ball near the line, but it still reached the poorly positioned goalkeeper Errero.

Mbappé scored the third goal, converting a free-kick after an Alexander-Arnold cross, which was his fourth goal of the campaign and put him at the top of the Spanish scoring charts. Before halftime, Malaga created a threat when Rafa Rodríguez hit the crossbar from a corner, and Chupe hit the side netting.

In the second half, Real continued to dominate, and only closer to the end of the match did they increase their advantage when Vinícius provided an assist for Güler, who finished the ball from close range.

On Monday, Barcelona champions will host Rayo Vallecano in their third match of the campaign, after confidently winning their first games.
