The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates and the Central Bank of Egypt published a joint statement on Sunday evening. In it, they confirmed close cooperation between the two regulators regarding the activities of Banque Misr branches in the UAE.
This statement was made after the US Department of the Treasury proposed a new rule aimed against this lender. This message is a continuation of the US Department of the Treasury's proposal to introduce special measures against Banque Misr branches located in the UAE.
