A delegation from Tashkent Metro JSC conducted a working trip to China to study modern technologies, equipment, and metro operation practices for potential implementation in Tashkent. The company reported that the visit is part of fulfilling tasks set by Presidential Decree No. PP-191 and is aimed at analyzing advanced international solutions for metros and integrating modern technologies.
In China, representatives of Tashkent Metro held meetings and technical discussions with leading metro infrastructure manufacturers, research institutes, and design bureaus. The delegation focused primarily on the technical capabilities of the equipment, its maintenance and operation, as well as the potential for adapting Chinese developments to the conditions of the Tashkent Metro.
One of the areas studied was platform screen door systems (PSD). The delegation familiarized itself with their operating principles, control systems, maintenance requirements, and modern solutions aimed at enhancing passenger safety.
Specialists also examined modern elevators and escalators, analyzing their technical characteristics, energy efficiency, safety requirements, and possibilities for improving passenger comfort. Furthermore, specialized AGM equipment for conducting repair and operational work in metro tunnels and other technical zones was studied, including its structural features and usage experience.
During the visit to the Shanghai Metro Design Institute, the Uzbek delegation exchanged experiences in infrastructure design, engineering solutions, and the development of modern metro systems, and discussed ways to strengthen scientific and technical potential.
The modern metro ventilation system, designed to ensure air circulation in stations and tunnels, regulate microclimate, and improve energy efficiency, was also studied. An important part of the program was a visit to the Shanghai Metro, where Tashkent Metro representatives closely examined the system's infrastructure, train movement processes, passenger flow management, technical maintenance, and operational procedures.
The trip also covered China's experience in ensuring safety, improving passenger service, and implementing modern management and engineering solutions. It is expected that the acquired experience will be used for the further development of Tashkent Metro infrastructure, the introduction of new technologies, increasing passenger safety and comfort, and improving the activities of Tashkent Metro JSC.
