According to the annual report, Amrutanjan Health Care intends to increase growth by establishing 100,000 direct pharmacy outlets in the current fiscal year. This step follows strong results achieved in the pain relief and women's hygiene segments in the 2026 fiscal year.
The Chairman and Managing Director of the company, S Sambhu Prasad, stated in the report that the goal of achieving 100,000 direct pharmacy outlets will be realized in the 2027 fiscal year. He added that the company aims to expand the overall presence and accessibility of its brands beyond traditionally strong markets.
During the 2026 fiscal year, Amrutanjan Health Care added another 44,000 new pharmacy outlets, continuing to expand distribution in new markets and deepen penetration in existing territories.
Brand Development Program
In the 2026 fiscal year, the main drivers of growth were the pain relief and women's hygiene categories, with Amrutanjan and Comfy leading. As part of the brand strategy, the company also plans to relaunch its blockage relief brand, Relief, this year.
The company is confident in the demand for the 2027 fiscal year, supported by various value propositions in its portfolio. Amrutanjan, which currently employs over 650 employees, reported an 11.23 percent growth in operating revenue, reaching ₹502.55 crore in the 2026 fiscal year, while net profit increased by almost 14 percent to ₹57.92 crore.
In the 2026 fiscal year, Amrutanjan's growth priorities were advanced through distribution, brand building, portfolio expansion, and human resource development. The company strengthened penetration in key markets through rural distribution and affordable packaging, invested in low-return markets, and continued to develop Comfy as a women's wellness market.
The overall pain relief category demonstrated a 10 percent growth in gross sales in the 2026 fiscal year, with headache and body pain categories growing by 8 and 16 percent, respectively.
CMD noted that in the hygiene sector, the company focuses on women's health hygiene through the Comfy brand for menstrual care products. The brand, launched in 2013, ranks fourth in the country in the mass pad segment.
The company pays attention to digitalization, and CMD is proud that 70 percent of critical processes are automated, with plans to bring this figure close to 100 percent. He also emphasized that the successful launch of the Amrutanjan brand on Amazon USA and Amazon India is a testament to the company's growing capabilities in digital commerce.
