Representatives of the national team of Uzbekistan, Shohsanam Sherzodova and Nilufar Zakirova, won silver medals at the Canoe and Kayak World Championship held in Poznan, Poland.
The Uzbek pair took second place in the final of the women's race over 200 meters, earning silver at the world championship.
This success marks the second silver medal for Uzbekistan at the current world championship. The day before, Artur Guliev also won silver in the men's 200-meter race in the same discipline.
