Kannada cinema superstar Raka Bhai Yash released his long-awaited film 'Toxic'. Despite receiving numerous negative reviews from all sides, and some creators taking legal action against critics, 'Toxic' demonstrated impressive results at the box office.
The film was released on August 26th, during the Onam festival, which was planned to take advantage of the long weekend. On the first day, thanks to Yash's popularity, the film collected 100 crore at the box office, which is a significant achievement in itself. However, a sharp decline in revenue was observed starting from the second day. When calculated for the Hindi language, after collecting over 50 crore on the first day, the film's revenue began to drop daily, and festivals like Raksha Bandhan did not bring substantial growth.
Nevertheless, after four days, 'Toxic' set a new box office record. On the fourth day, Yash's film reached a net collection of 100 crore rupees in Hindi. According to the report by Sakencilk, as of the time of this information, 'Toxic' has earned 105 crore rupees in total, including 6.87 crore in net income in Hindi. The film's total collection across India amounted to 177.58 crore rupees, highlighting the film's strong performance in the Hindi market.
It is worth noting that the largest number of viewers come to watch Yash's film in Kannada. Theater occupancy in this region is noted at about 40%, although final figures are still awaited according to live reports.
In four days, the film 'Toxic' earned 100 crore in Hindi, surpassing the record of the previous director S.S. Rajamouli's film 'RRR', which collected 100 crore in five days. The film 'Toxic' was directed by Gittu Mohandas, and Yash served as a producer and also contributed to the scriptwriting.
