The newspaper 'Yangi Syrdaryo', published under the management bodies of the Syrdarya region, was originally issued in 1963 under the name 'Sirdaryo Haqiqati'.
A school of journalists spanning several generations formed within the creative team, and at one time this newspaper became a favorite publication among representatives of various nationalities involved in the development of the Syrdarya steppes.
However, during difficult times experienced by print publications, the newspaper faced a number of problems related to frequent changes in leadership and rising costs for publishing and printing.
