The total volume of electricity production in Uzbekistan for the period from January to July 2026 reached 52,504.4 million kWh. This figure demonstrates a 6.4% increase compared to 49,344.4 million kWh registered during the same period last year, according to data from the National Statistical Committee of Uzbekistan.
Changes occurred in the structure of electricity generation during the reporting period. Generation by large enterprises decreased by 3.6%, amounting to 35,250.6 million kWh, whereas this figure was 36,577.7 million kWh the previous year. Conversely, electricity produced by small enterprises increased by 35.2%, reaching 17,253.8 million kWh compared to 12,766.7 million kWh, indicating the growing significance of small businesses in the country's energy sector.
Furthermore, thermal power generation by large enterprises in January–July 2026 decreased by 18.3%, totaling 10,117.6 thousand Gcal, while in the corresponding period last year it amounted to 12,387.8 thousand Gcal.
