On August 27, 2026, the qualification groups for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 were drawn at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in Kuala Lumpur. As a result of this draw, 35 national teams were distributed into seven groups of five teams each.
The qualifying matches will be held in a centralized single round format from November 8 to November 20, 2026. The winners of the seven group stages will advance to the final tournament, where they will join nine teams that qualified automatically based on the results of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2026 in Qatar.
Among the teams that automatically advanced to the final stage are Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. It should be noted that Japan is participating in the competition as the reigning Asian champion.
Group Composition
Group A, which will participate in matches in Myanmar, includes Indonesia, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Philippines, and Cambodia. Group B, which will be held in Thailand, consists of Thailand, Iraq, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Maldives.
Group C, participating in the United Arab Emirates, unites the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Syria, Bhutan, and Macau. Group D, hosted by Laos, includes Iran, Laos, Jordan, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Group E, participating in Malaysia, includes India, Malaysia, Palestine, Singapore, and Guam. Group F, organized by Kyrgyzstan, consists of Yemen, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Northern Mariana Islands. Group G, participating in Oman, includes Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Brunei Darussalam.
The final stage of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 is scheduled for May 12 to May 29, 2027.
