The Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan sent a delegation to the state of California in the USA to study modern viticulture technologies and the experience of Grapa Global, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.
Review of Technologies and Discussion of Trials
During the visit, representatives from Uzbekistan familiarized themselves with advanced breeding methods, grape cultivation technologies, and promising seedless varieties. The parties discussed the possibility of testing these varieties under local conditions in Uzbekistan, assessing their yield, ability to adapt to the climate, and export potential.
The delegation visited a nursery where planting material is cultivated, as well as a facility equipped with equipment for sorting, packaging, cooling, and storing harvested grapes. Discussions focused on developing viticulture through a comprehensive approach to the supply chain, covering all stages—from production in the nursery and farming to final delivery to the market.
Cooperation Agreements
As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached to conduct field trials of promising seedless grape varieties in Uzbekistan, establish new vineyards, and organize knowledge exchange programs for specialists. The Uzbek delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Agrostar Holding, as well as local farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs.
