Ather Energy introduced the Konarc scooter with a 200 km range and metal body

Skoda has released a new modified version of its most affordable SUV, the Skoda Kylaq. The officially presented variant is the Sportline, available with both a manual and an automatic transmission. This new trim level is equipped with a richer set of features than the Signature Plus models, yet has fewer options than the Prestige, thereby closing the gap between these two configurations.

The price for the manual version of the Skoda Kylaq Sportline is 11.32 lakh rupees including tax, while the automatic version will cost 12.32 lakh rupees including tax. It is worth noting that the base model of the car starts from 7.59 lakh rupees including tax, and it is called Classic.

For comparison, the Signature Plus version costs 10.77 lakh rupees including tax, and the Prestige costs 11.75 lakh rupees, with these prices specified for the manual variants.

In terms of appearance, the Kylaq Sportline features glossy black diffusers at the front and rear, black ORVMs, LED projector headlights, a two-tone floating design, and 17-inch black wheels. Visual accents include an emblem on the rear bumper, a rear spoiler, the Sportline badge, and a decal on the C-pillar.

The company also offers an official Sportline accessory package. It includes decorative trims on the corners of the front and rear bumpers, a decorative radiator grille with dark chrome, wing trims with logo embossing, and glossy black side body cladding.

Inside, the car is finished in an all-black color scheme, which is present on the headliner, dashboard, and door panels. The seats are leather-upholstered and feature the Sportline logo on the headrests. The interior is also equipped with aluminum pedals, ambient lighting, a sunroof, automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, a 10.1-inch multimedia system, and an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster.

Under the hood is the old 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline TSI engine, which produces 114 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque. The transmission can be either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.

Ather Energy has announced the availability of its scooters through the Army Canteen. According to the company, starting from September 2026, Ather scooters will be available on the Department of Catering Stores (CDS) portal.

Personnel eligible for benefits in the armed forces can purchase the company's products at a discount. Furthermore, military staff will benefit from Goods and Services Tax (GST) benefits. Ather reported that eight models of Ather 450 and Zeeta will be featured on the CDS platform, with the Ather 450 Apex model excluded.

Ather is one of the first two manufacturers of electric two-wheelers to list their products on the CDS platform. Eligible buyers will receive an additional special discount when purchasing an Ather scooter through the CDS portal, which is provided in addition to tax benefits.

The 450 series is geared towards high performance and daily commuting. The Zeeta model is positioned as a family scooter designed with comfort, practicality, and everyday use in mind.

This listing comes amid growing demand for electric two-wheelers in the country. Currently, TVS leads in electric scooter sales. After Bajaj Chetak, Ather Energy ranks third among electric scooter sellers. The company plans to launch a new scooter model soon.

By the end of August, Ather will release its most affordable scooter. It is named Konark and will be based on the company's latest EL platform. The company may introduce this scooter with several battery options. The launch of this scooter is scheduled for August 29.

The new scooter will feature a metal body. Ather has been actively announcing this model recently. This will be the company's first scooter with a metal chassis. Currently, the Ather Zeeta is the company's cheapest scooter, with a starting price of 1.21 lakh rupees. However, the company might launch the Konark with a starting price of 1 lakh rupees.

Yamaha has updated its line of 125cc scooters for the Indian market. The brand has introduced the refreshed Fascino and RayZR 125 models, which have been modernized to enhance technological features for users.

Furthermore, the cost of these scooters has been adjusted. No changes were made to the engines of either model; they are equipped with a 125cc air-cooled engine. Below is an overview of the new models and current prices for these scooters.

Regarding pricing, the Yamaha Fascino is available starting from 78,980 rupees and up to 99,030 rupees including export duties. It can be purchased in three variants: Drum, Disc, and S. The RayZR 125 (2026 model) starts from 79,880 rupees with export duties and reaches 100,440 rupees.

The Yamaha Fascino and RayZR compete in the market with models such as the Honda Activa 125, Dio 125, Hero Zoom 125, Destiny 125, Suzuki Access 125, Suzuki Avanis 124, TVS Jupiter 125, and NTORQ 125.

Concerning the updated colors, the 2026 Fascino model in the Drum version will be available in Yellow Cocktail, Metallic Green Light, and Cool Blue Metallic, while the Disc version will be in Matte Black. A special scooter version will appear in Metallic Orangeish Grey. The Yamaha Fascino in the S version will feature a TFT instrument cluster for the first time, which will also support turn-by-turn navigation.

New color options have also been added to the Yamaha RayZR. The standard RayZR is available in two configurations—Drum and Disc. The basic Drum version is only available in Metallic Black. The Disc version offers Metallic Black, Dark Matt Blue, and Ice Flow Vermilion.

The RayZR Street Rally version is equipped with a TFT system. In this modification, customers can choose between LCD and TFT screens. Both screen options are available in Matte Black, whereas Ice Flow Vermilion is available only with LCD, and Matte Titan is available only with the TFT display.

Apart from color changes and the addition of TFT screens, there were no other technical modifications to these scooters. Both models are equipped with a 125cc air-cooled engine that generates 8 hp and 10.3 Nm of torque, and they feature a CVT variator. The Fascino achieves a fuel economy of 71 km per liter, corresponding to operating costs of 1.42 rupees per kilometer, although real consumption may be lower.
