Cristiano Ronaldo scores his 978th goal at age 41, securing a victory for his team

Cristiano Ronaldo's influence in football continues to be significant, as the experienced player demonstrates high productivity even at 41 years old. He once again delighted fans with his outstanding skill.

During a tense match in the Saudi Pro League on Friday, Ronaldo scored his 978th career goal. Thanks to this, he helped his team Al-Nassr achieve a convincing 2-1 victory over Al-Taawoun. This win marked the fourth consecutive victory for Al-Nassr in the league, allowing them to take the leading position in the table.

The start of the game was difficult for Al-Nassr. In the 11th minute, Al-Taawoun took a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal by Mohammed Bassam Al-Huradhi, putting Al-Nassr under pressure. However, the team did not give up. In the first half stoppage time (45+5 minutes), Samu Costa scored a magnificent goal, leveling the score at 1-1.

Ronaldo's magic appeared in the second half. In the 50th minute, Joao Felix created an excellent opportunity from the left, passing the ball to Mohammed Simakan. Simakan took a powerful shot at the goal from just outside the penalty area, which Ronaldo brilliantly countered with a light flick from six yards away, sending the ball into the net. This goal became Ronaldo's 978th in his career. The replay showed that Simakan's shot was aimed directly at the goal, so Simakan was momentarily surprised after celebrating Ronaldo's goal.

Ronaldo remained on the field for all 90 minutes of the match. Previously, on Tuesday, in the game against Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr won the match 3-2, scoring three goals in the last 16 minutes after trailing 2-0. In that previous match, Ronaldo was substituted earlier.
