According to local Ukrainian authorities, Kyiv carried out attacks on the Russian city of Yaroslavl, located 250 kilometers north of Moscow, as well as on the port city of Sevastopol, which is the base of the Black Sea Fleet on the annexed Crimean Peninsula.
The governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Evraev, reported on the Telegram social network the declaration of an air raid alert in the Yaroslavl region due to drones. He also noted that movement was suspended on the Yaroslavl-Moscow highway to ensure safety.
Although the governor did not report damage to local infrastructure, the independent Russian channel Astra indicated that Ukrainian drones attacked the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery, publishing photos showing two plumes of smoke over the facility. This is the eighth attack on this plant from March to August.
Meanwhile, Sevastopol governor Mikhail Razvozhaev reported twice during the night in his Telegram channel that Russian air defense was repelling attacks by Ukrainian drones on the port city. Razvozhaev reported damage to a five-story building where a fire broke out, and injuries to four civilians.
In the Moscow region, a Ukrainian drone hit the Magnit store in the city of Pavlovsky Posad, according to a statement by Governor Andrey Vorobyov made via the Russian messenger MAX.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that Russia struck missile depots and port facilities in Kyiv and Odesa during the night. The Russian military command published a message on Telegram claiming that the Russian Armed Forces continued to conduct combined attacks against Ukrainian logistics centers and ports supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the 'Stellar Jet LLC storage complex, used for storing long-range cruise missiles Flamingo and rocket fuel' was destroyed in the Kyiv region. In the port of Odesa, on the Black Sea coast, 'six warehouses containing military equipment intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces' were hit.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also stated that during the night, Russian air defense intercepted and shot down 512 fixed-wing drones over 18 regions of Russia, Crimea, and the Black Sea.
