A delegation from Uzbekistan, comprising representatives from the Agency for the Development of Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry and the National Research Institute of Biopharmaceuticals, held a meeting with representatives of Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corp. during an official visit to South Korea, according to the pharmaceutical development agency.
The parties discussed the possibility of applying Korean experience in Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical industry and explored potential joint projects.
Knowledge Exchange and Production Standards
During the negotiations, representatives of Chong Kun Dang demonstrated their experience in drug manufacturing and drug development, paying particular attention to biological products and biosimilars. The Uzbek delegation familiarized itself with the company's approach to creating modern production infrastructure that complies with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, as well as its quality control system and research activities.
Discussions covered the prospects of implementing advanced South Korean methods in Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical sector. Furthermore, participants reviewed issues related to training highly qualified specialists for the biopharmaceutical industry, as well as promoting knowledge and experience exchange between specialists from both countries.
In conclusion, the participants assessed opportunities for joint projects in the field of research, development, and production of biopharmaceutical drugs. Topics discussed included technology transfer and defining future directions for bilateral cooperation.
