Ather Energy to unveil its most affordable scooter, Konarc, on August 29

Ather Energy plans to launch a new scooter in the Indian market. The brand's most budget-friendly scooter, named Konarc, is scheduled to be unveiled on August 29. This vehicle will be the company's first model developed on the latest EL platform.

Prior to the official launch, the company has disclosed several details about the scooter. Special attention has been paid to its durability: Ather released a video demonstrating the scooter undergoing tests involving wrestlers. The company previously confirmed that the Konarc will feature a metal body.

The Ather Konarc is positioned as the company's first mass-market scooter. Although the brand has achieved new sales figures with the Rezcta model, the Konarc is being developed to reach a broader audience. The published video showcases the scooter's resilience.

Various checks were conducted during testing, including drop tests, load testing, vibration and shaking tests, and a range test up to 100,000 kilometers. Furthermore, the Konarc was tested in conditions of heavy rain and flooding, indicating Ather's readiness to present a scooter capable of handling daily challenges.

In addition to the video materials, it has been revealed that this is the company's first model to use a metal chassis. The design includes a steel chassis, an engine mounted on the suspension lever, a 14-inch front wheel, and a 12-inch rear wheel.

There is speculation that the cost of this scooter may be around 100,000 rupees. The company plans to offer it with several battery options to meet the needs of different users. Connectivity features will also be integrated into the scooter. Currently, the most affordable scooter is the Rezcta, starting from 1.21 lakh rupees plus export duties.
