Central authorities have identified 160 district hospitals for the first phase of a program aimed at increasing the capacity for emergency and trauma care by 50%. These medical institutions are planned to be strengthened by March 2027 as part of the implementation of key announcements in the healthcare sector made within the Federal Budget for 2026–2027.
