A woman in Brazil claims that she purchased a mobile phone worth almost five thousand reais (approximately 831 euros) online. However, the received order contained not an electronic device, but five units of coconut soap.
According to information published by the Brazilian website g1, the woman states that she bought the phone for 4,776.67 reais on the Amazon platform. The package was received last Sunday, August 23rd.
It should be noted that the order was placed by the woman's brother. Couriers entered the residential complex and contacted the building administration. Since the woman was not home, the package was accepted and left in the designated spot.
Later, when she arrived at her residence, she found the package and decided to open it. Inside was not the expected item—five bars of coconut soap.
She reported: 'When I came, I opened the package and found that instead of my phone, I received coconut soap.' g1 reports that the buyer contacted the American company demanding a solution to the situation. The company, in turn, stated that it does not intend to issue a refund.
Currently, the woman is trying to get clarification regarding what happened with her order and aims to recover the amount paid for the phone. According to the Brazilian website, which cites Amazon's statement, the company announced that it is investigating the incident and will contact the customer.
