Sony Entertainment Television is preparing to present a new season of its popular show 'Crime Patrol' titled 'Crime Ka Current'. In this season, Ajay Devgn will host, presenting viewers with the realities of modern crime.
The new season is scheduled to premiere on August 31, 2026, broadcasting from Monday to Thursday immediately following the program 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' on Sony Entertainment TV and SonyLIV channels.
'Crime Patrol – Crime Ka Current' aims not to frighten the audience, but rather to make them more vigilant and cautious in the rapidly changing conditions of life. The stories shown in this new season are based exclusively on real criminal cases.
In a promotional video, Ajay Devgn highlights one of the main problems of modernity. He speaks about how the social media culture, the pursuit of instant validation, and constantly changing emotions begin to dominate the human mind.
In the published promotional material, Ajay Devgn connects viewers with a deep thought. He notes: 'Every era has its own flow... When our emotions started scrolling like this... Joy with one swipe, anger with another swipe... A person can lose self-control. A crime that shouldn't have happened. Let's watch the unveiling... of a shocking and painful truth.'
His presentation style clearly indicates that this time the show will not be limited to crime stories, but will also touch upon the thought processes behind them and the changing attitude of society.
Alongside his return to television, Ajay Devgn announced a major step in his film career. Earlier this week, he shared the official title of the third and final episode of his sensational series—'Drishyam: The Conclusion'. This film will be released in theaters on October 2, 2026.
In the final part of the film, Ajay Devgn will once again play his iconic role as Vijay Salgaonkar, while both actors from the original cast and new, experienced faces will appear alongside him. Tabbu will once again play the tough role of IG Mira Deshmukh, and Shrira Saran will join as Vijay's wife, Nandini. Rajat Kapoor will also return to the film.
