Uzmetkombinat and the Chinese company CSCEC International have reached an agreement to implement new investment projects in Uzbekistan. These projects include the creation of an energy storage system with a capacity of up to 150 MW and the transformation of the city of Bekabad into a modern settlement called New Bekabad.
The agreement was reached following preliminary negotiations held during the visit of Uzmetkombinat representatives to China. The parties continued discussions on the practical implementation of previously reached agreements.
Key Areas of Cooperation
One of the central issues was the financing and investment in the battery energy storage system with a capacity of up to 150 MW. Furthermore, the parties agreed on joint work on the Tebinbulak project and the launch of major investment initiatives in Uzbekistan.
Special attention was paid to the development of Bekabad. According to the agreements reached, it is planned to transform this city into a modern 'New Bekabad'. The Chinese partners have been tasked with preparing a project proposal for this initiative.
After the meeting, Uzmetkombinat and CSCEC International signed a memorandum of cooperation. This document establishes the foundation for a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership between the two organizations.
