Uzhydromet forecasts moderately warm and dry weather in Uzbekistan in September

According to Uzhydromet data, September in Uzbekistan is expected to be moderately warm and quite dry. The average air temperature will meet climatic norms, and precipitation in most regions is forecast to be below average.

Weather forecast for the first third of September

The first third of the month is expected to have predominantly partly cloudy and dry weather. Nighttime and early morning temperatures will be 15–20 degrees, and daytime temperatures will reach 30–35 degrees, although some days may see an increase up to 37 degrees. In the south of the republic, the air may heat up to 38–40 degrees on the hottest days.

Weather forecast for the second half of September

In the second half of the month, air temperatures will decrease: night temperatures are expected to be from 10 to 15 degrees, and daytime temperatures from 25 to 30 degrees. There may be slight temperature fluctuations. Short-term rains may fall during the month for one to three days, but the probability of precipitation in the south of the republic is low.

It is predicted that the total amount of precipitation across most of the country will be below normal. Exceptions include the Fergana Valley, where near-normal levels are expected in some places, as well as Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, where precipitation may be higher or meet the norm.

Uzhydromet emphasizes that September is traditionally one of the driest months in Uzbekistan. Over the past five decades, the warmest Septembers were recorded in 2013, 2016, 2021, 2022, and 2025.
