Foreign capital opens the most enterprises in trade, industry, construction, and communications in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, the number of enterprises with foreign investment participation is approaching 21 thousand, and most of them are foreign companies.

According to data from the National Statistical Committee, as of August 1, 2026, there are a total of 20,973 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan with foreign investments. Of these, 4,685 are joint ventures, and 16,288 are foreign companies.

Thus, almost 78 percent of all enterprises belong to those fully financed by foreign capital.

Enterprises with foreign investment participation are most active in the sectors of trade, industry, construction, as well as in the information and communications sphere.
