BMW has expanded its lineup in the Indian market by releasing a new version of the X1. This model, named X1 Long Wheelbase (X1 LWB), is equipped with numerous features, offers more cabin space, and is available with a new gasoline engine.

The vehicle will be available alongside the standard X1 and the electric iX1 version. Furthermore, the price of the X1 LWB is lower: by 1 lakh rupees compared to the standard variant and by 1.5 lakh rupees compared to the electric variant.

The BMW X1 LWB was introduced at a price of 49.90 lakh rupees for the showroom price. This model is aimed at buyers who wish to purchase a luxurious SUV with ample interior space. The manufacturer's main focus is on the comfort of rear passengers.

Visually, the car is distinguished by the use of chrome along the window line, which gives it a distinct look. Additionally, silver inserts are applied to the doors and the rear bumper. It retains the same LED headlights and taillights as the standard X1.

The length of the X1 Long Wheelbase is 4616 mm, which is 116 mm longer than the standard version. The wheelbase has increased by 108 mm, reaching 2800 mm. Thanks to this extra space, the length of the rear seat has increased, ensuring an enhanced level of comfort.

The SUV is equipped with 18-inch wheels. Four color options are available: Mineral White, Carbon Black, Night Dusk Blue, and Skyscraper Grey. The most noticeable changes concern the rear passenger seat: it features an additional 15mm of cushioning, and there is also an extra 109 mm of legroom provided.

Features include a curved display, a fixed glass roof, wireless charging, power seats, and folding rear seats. The trunk volume is 540 liters, which can be increased to 1700 liters. The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 154 hp and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It is important to note that the 2.0-liter diesel engine, available in the standard version, is absent in this long-wheelbase model.

Royal Enfield, a major motorcycle manufacturer in the country, has introduced a new variant of its bestseller Classic 350—the Gorkha Edition. This new release features cosmetic changes that set it apart from the standard model.

The company stated that this edition is specifically dedicated to the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army, and in honor of this unit, the motorcycle's design and color reflect the characteristics of the Gorkhas.

The Gorkha Edition model is based on the Classic 350. The starting price for this motorcycle is set at 2.11 lakh rupees (excluding taxes). The launch was accompanied by the start of official pre-bookings, which can be made through the company's official website or authorized dealerships.

This special edition is not limited to just the new color; it also incorporates elements of the heritage and distinctiveness of the Gorkha Regiment. The motorcycle is finished with a special paint job in Gorkha Green. Furthermore, it is equipped with a unique badge in the style of crossed khukuris (a type of knife used by the Gorkhas), distinguishing it from the regular model. The company did not make significant changes to the overall design, preserving the recognizable look of the Classic 350 and its upright seating.

Mechanically, the Gorkha Edition uses the same 349cc J-series engine as the Classic 350. This engine generates 20.1 hp and a peak torque of 27 Nm, connected to a five-speed gearbox. Thus, there were no significant changes in terms of performance; the company focused on the uniqueness of the appearance and features.

The Gorkha Edition also features a sleeper clutch with assist, which, according to the company, helps make the gear shifting process smoother and easier for the rider. Additionally, the motorcycle is equipped with a Type-C USB fast charging port, allowing devices such as smartphones to be charged quickly during rides.

Royal Enfield has not only released the Gorkha Edition motorcycle. The company has also launched a line of clothing and riding accessories under this name. The design of this collection is inspired by the Gorkha Regiment and includes elements such as military uniforms and crossed khukuris. This collection includes a Jet Quest dual-certified helmet and jackets.

Royal Enfield has made a major announcement for adventure enthusiasts by unveiling the release of a new motorcycle. This is about the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440, which will be equipped with a new engine.

This model will be a variant of the Himalayan 411, featuring the LS 440 engine used in the Scram 440. Thus, Royal Enfield will add another adventure motorcycle below the Himalayan 450 level. Currently, the Himalayan is fitted with the new, more modern Sherpa 450 liquid-cooled engine.

Royal Enfield announced the release dates for the Himalayan 440, revealing the information on its official website and social media. The motorcycle launch is scheduled for September 4, 2026. It will be equipped with a long-stroke engine, which will give the Himalayan portfolio a relaxed riding character.

Previously, when the company replaced the Himalayan 411 with the 450, it introduced updates in engineering, technology, and features. This was the first model from the company to receive features such as USD forks (inverted forks), DOHC 4-valve head, liquid cooling, electronic throttle, TFT dashboard, and Google Maps mirroring.

The shadows of the motorcycle shown in Royal Enfield teasers indicate that it will be an adventure bike whose design is heavily inspired by the Scram 440. The upcoming model is likely to retain the fuel tank, windscreen, upright handlebars, and dashboard characteristic of the Himalayan 411.

Furthermore, a 21-inch front wheel is expected. The motorcycle will have front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. It will also be equipped with a TFT display similar to the Himalayan 450, which supports Google Maps mirroring. The new bike will feature a 443cc single-cylinder engine, providing 25.4 hp and 35 Nm of torque.
