The situation with the leakage of examination materials at Indira Gandhi Agri University (IGKV) continues. After two exams were recently canceled due to the viral spread of second-year undergraduate anatomy materials, a new incident has occurred. It has now been revealed that material for the subject 'Fundamentals of Genetics' (APB-5121) was leaked.
Following a series of similar scandals, the university administration demanded a full investigation by the police. The exam for the subject APB-5121 'Fundamentals of Genetics' took place on August 19th in 28 agricultural colleges across the state, and it was discovered that this material had been leaked after the test concluded.
Constant instances of leaks jeopardize not only the reputation of the university leadership but also the future of thousands of students. Previously, questions were raised about the material matching by 70%. When the university administration conducted an investigation, approximately seventy percent similarity was found between the leaked material and the original question.
Due to the escalation of the situation, two subjects were urgently canceled, and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai personally intervened, forming a five-member investigative committee. Following mass student protests, it was decided to hold these exams in the first week of September.
In light of the third material leak, serious questions arise regarding the university management system. Since internal avenues for concealing violations have been exhausted, the administration has officially decided to file a complaint with the police and demand an impartial investigation.
The question arises: how could such a major security failure recur when a high-level investigative committee was already operating under the Chief Minister's directive? There is suspicion that a large network operates within the university, constantly undermining the efforts of the students. For now, student organizations insist on strict measures against those responsible and ensuring transparency across the entire examination system.
