Kyrgyz audience will see Chinese heritage and culture in new programs

According to a message from China Media Group (CMG) on Wednesday, a new series of Chinese documentaries, dramatic productions, and cultural programs has launched in Kyrgyzstan. These materials present Central Asian viewers with stories about Chinese craftsmanship, intangible heritage, traditional medicine, and daily life.

The film screening event took place in Bishkek and includes nearly ten programs created by CMG. The content will be broadcast on Kyrgyzstan's national broadcaster and other regional media until the end of October.

This initiative is a continuation of the media cooperation agreement signed between CMG and the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation of Kyrgyzstan (UTRK) last year during the visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to Beijing. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), and Kyrgyzstan is hosting the SCO summit as the organizing country.

The CEO of UTRK, Ulanbek Satiev, noted that the partnership deepens annually, helping viewers from both countries to better understand each other's cultures and achievements. He expressed hope for expanding cooperation in news reporting and content creation in the future.

The proposed programs range from short cultural sketches to feature-length series. Among them are a drama dedicated to life in a restaurant in northwestern China, as well as documentary cycles covering traditional art, phytotherapy, and the heritage of Chinese design—content that demonstrates the diversity of modern Chinese storytelling beyond blockbusters.

China's Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Li Hua, stated that the screenings will enrich viewers' understanding of China, its people, and its cultural traditions. In recent years, CMG has consistently expanded the reach of its program across Central Asia. Previous screening campaigns placed about twenty Chinese programs on regional broadcasters, covering topics from culture to contemporary art. Currently, this event is being covered by numerous media resources from SCO member states, reflecting growing cross-border media cooperation in the region.

Michael Jackson considered buying Marvel to play Spider-Man; deal fell through

An interesting question arises: what would Michael Jackson have been like if he had played Spider-Man? This hypothetical situation could have become reality because Michael Jackson was so fascinated by the Spider-Man character that he was willing to acquire Marvel to bring this idea to life.

At the time, Marvel was going through one of the most difficult periods in its history in the mid-1990s. Due to declining comic book sales and financial difficulties, the company filed for bankruptcy in 1996. The company's stock was delisted from the New York Stock Exchange, and its television and licensing business also weakened.

In 1998, Marvel merged with Toy Biz, which helped the company stay afloat. It was during this period that negotiations began between Michael Jackson and Marvel regarding a potential collaboration.

Michael Jackson's nephew, Taj Jackson, mentioned this in an interview. He stated that Michael wanted to work on this project with Steven Li, and negotiations were underway. According to Taj Jackson, it ultimately did not happen, and he does not know the reasons, but they were moving in that direction. He also noted that besides Spider-Man, Michael Jackson was a big Marvel fan, knew all the characters, and perhaps wanted to be Spider-Man himself.

Later, Steven Li confirmed this story. After Michael Jackson's death, he mentioned it in some interviews, although he said he was unsure whether Michael Jackson wanted to act in films or create them. Michael approached him because Steven Li was the creator of these characters, and Michael believed only he could secure the rights to them. However, Steven Li explained to him that all rights belonged to Marvel.

Michael Jackson also tried to purchase only the Spider-Man character separately from Marvel. Ultimately, this deal did not materialize, and Marvel continued on its own path. The company's cinematic revival began in 1998 with the film 'Blade', and then in 2000 with 'X-Men'. Following this, the film 'Spider-Man' directed by Sam Raimi was released in 2002, starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker. At that time, Michael Jackson was around 40 years old, while Maguire was younger—only 26—and played a younger character.

Michael Jackson showed interest in film production for a long time. His large-scale music videos with cinematographers such as Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola, as well as with Moonwalker, Captain EO, and John Landis, served as examples of this interest. The desire to participate in superhero films was an extension of this inclination, but this dream never came true.

FC 27 currency prices vary across platforms, drawing close attention to trading venues

As the global launch of EA Sports FC 27 approaches, scheduled for September 25, 2026, the resale market for Ultimate Team in-game currency has become active, showing significant price discrepancies between various platforms.

Listings for the new season's currency appear on dozens of trading platforms long before players can enter the game, and the requested prices vary widely from one platform to another. It is this price spread that attracts particular attention.

A similar situation occurs every year: some players only learn about the rules after encountering problems.

What EA Confirmed

The publisher has set out the release schedule: Ultimate and Ultimate Plus buyers will gain access on September 18, a week before the standard release, and a ten-hour trial version of EA Play will open on the same day. The Ultimate Plus subscription itself has special conditions: it is only available during the early period from July 23 to August 31 and is never offered on Nintendo platforms or through the Epic Games Store.

Alongside paid editions is FC 27 Lite—a free limited preview that will be available on launch day at 16:00 UTC. It unlocks several modes, including Kick-Off, with the option to transition to the full game version at any time. Lite is confirmed for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, EA App, Steam, and Epic Games Store; information regarding Nintendo versions has not yet been announced.

Regarding football content, the main innovation is The Grounds—a social hub built around street football and customizable characters. This mode is absent in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, and on Nintendo hardware, it will only appear on Switch 2. Ultimate Team receives FUT Gallery—a collection system where Gallery level increases are achieved by rating in-game items, and items from the Hall of FUT are also returned.

Reasons for Sharp Price Discrepancies

Ultimate Team currency does not have a fixed exchange rate. Sellers set prices based on demand on the platform, supply, and how close the market is to the launch or promotions, meaning the same nominal amount can have completely different prices on the same day. The most volatile period of the entire cycle is the weeks leading up to the launch, and the first forty-eight hours of early access usually cause the sharpest fluctuations.

fc27 coin listings have already appeared on independent gaming stores before the official release, even before anyone can check delivery on a live server. Buyers comparing such listings should pay as much attention to delivery terms and return policies as they do to the stated price, as pre-release prices are a forecast, not an exact cost estimate.

The Rule Everyone Ignores

EA prohibits the buying, selling, and distribution of Ultimate Team coins. This is not a grey area that the publisher has simply overlooked. Its security department monitors the exchange market, and the enforcement of rules has reached the highest level of competitive play: in the FIFA 19 season, professional players, including a participant in the Top-20 Global Series, were disqualified after it was discovered they were exchanging coins.

Regular accounts are subject to the same policy. Historically, sanctions have included restrictions on the exchange market and, in serious cases, action against the account. Anyone considering a purchase must honestly consider this risk, not dismiss it as fine print, and also remember that coin balances are not transferred between annual releases, although FC Points are retained on the same platform.

Regulatory Framework

Ultimate Team has long attracted the attention of regulators. The Belgian Gambling Authority ruled that paid randomized packs constitute unregulated gambling, and EA stopped selling FIFA Points there starting in 2019, leaving the coins and the exchange market untouched. This mode was also discussed in the UK Parliament. Such close scrutiny has not slowed the market; it has only clarified the boundaries.

What Cautious Buyers Do Instead

The safest path is the least exciting: earning through completing quests, patiently trading on the market, and spending only on official points if spending is planned at all. Furthermore, players using independent stores tend to choose categories that the publisher does not restrict, and stores like Lootbar offer in-game currency and top-ups for dozens of other games where the rules differ. These are independent retailers, not EA partners, and no store can provide an exception to the publisher's terms.

Final Thoughts

FC 27 will be released on September 25 with an updated social mode, a new level of collection in Ultimate Team, and inevitably, a coin market operating at full capacity a week prior. Price differences between platforms are real, but that is not the whole picture. First and foremost, one should familiarize themselves with the publisher's rules, decide what risk they are willing to take, and let that decision dictate where they direct their funds.
