The results of the UPTET 2026 examination have been announced, marking significant news for numerous candidates. These results were published by the Uttar Pradesh Education Personnel Selection Board in Prayagraj.

At the primary level, covering classes 1 to 5, 80.07 percent of participants were deemed successful, while at the middle level, which includes classes 6 to 8, 71.85 percent of candidates passed successfully. Notably, a significant number of individuals already working as teachers also passed this exam.

The Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Prashant Kumar, stated that a total of 1,946,611 candidates registered for this exam. Given such a large number of participants, conducting the exam in a single day was impossible, so it took place over five sessions on July 2, 3, and 4, 2026.

The examination was held in 955 centers across 60 districts of the state to ensure candidates could take the test near their residences. Analyzing the statistics, 1,057,021 candidates participated at the middle level, of whom 759,513 were declared successful. 713,648 candidates participated at the primary level, of whom 571,435 passed.

Furthermore, this exam proved important for teachers who are already teaching in schools. Among working teachers, 122,405 took the exam at the primary level, with 93,387 (76.29 percent) succeeding. At the middle level, 146,394 working teachers took the exam, and 113,384 of them (77.45 percent) passed.

The Commission also emphasized that the result preparation fully adhered to the comparative assessment process, known as normalization, established in point 09 of the notification, to provide equal opportunities to all participants who took the exam in different sessions. The Chairman assured that the entire examination was conducted impartially, transparently, and securely. The Commission informed that candidates can check their results on the official website of the Commission. The path is now open for further recruitment processes for those who successfully passed the exam.
