The 2027 Renault Kwid model has entered sales as part of the 2027 lineup, receiving changes to both its exterior and interior design, as well as being equipped with new technological features and connectivity options. The update incorporates elements corresponding to Renault's latest visual concept, while retaining the 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine, internal capacity, and a trunk volume of 290 liters.
The new Kwid will be available in three trims: Evolution, Techno, and Outsider. All versions are equipped with 14-inch wheels. Additionally, a new color option, Taupe gray, has been introduced. A promotional price for the 2027 Kwid is also available, although the duration of this promotion is not specified.
Key Exterior Changes
The most noticeable exterior modifications concern the front of the car. The compact model has received a new bumper with three-dimensional shapes and an updated front grille finished in glossy black. This element also integrates the new Renault emblem.
The Outsider version features an additional lower trim on the bumper, and all three configurations are now equipped with LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The rear section features a redesigned taillight assembly and an LED light signature. The rearview camera is located in the new Renault emblem on the trunk lid.
The Outsider version also received new graphic elements on the sides, 14-inch alloy wheels with diamond finish, and the option of a two-tone roof. The roof antenna is now designed in a 'whale' shape.
Interior Update and Technology
The interior has also undergone changes. The 2027 Kwid is now equipped with a new 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, integrated into a floating element set. The steering wheel has been redesigned and also features the new Renault emblem. Seat upholstery varies depending on the trim level. The Techno version uses blue-toned fabrics with 3D elements, while the Outsider combines fabric and eco-leather with graphic inserts.
The key technological innovation is the Media Evolution multimedia system, which utilizes a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen. This system supports Bluetooth connection, as well as wireless mirroring for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, it displays vehicle data such as fuel consumption and driving mode. Audio system control is available from the steering wheel, and starting from the Techno version, two USB-C ports are included.
Despite all the updates to the exterior and equipment, the dimensions of the model remain a significant advantage. The wheelbase of the 2027 Kwid is 2423 mm, and the trunk volume reaches 290 liters; when the rear seats are folded down, this volume increases to 1100 liters. The ground clearance is 185 mm, and the approach and departure angles are 24.1° and 41.7°, respectively.
The car continues to use the 1.0 SCe three-cylinder, 12-valve, Dual Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) engine with an aluminum block.
Renault also offers four accessory packages for the 2027 Kwid. The 2027 lineup color palette includes Glacier white, Cassiopée gray, Étolie silver, Fogo red, Nacré black, and the added Taupe gray. The Fogo red is available in the Evolution and Techno versions, while the two-tone roof option is offered in the Outsider trim.
