The special edition controller for the 25th anniversary of Xbox will be sold for 799 reais in Brazil. This information was confirmed by the publication Tecnoblog.
Currently, the release date of the product in the country has not been set, but it will be available through partner retail networks such as Amazon and Magazine Luiza. In the United States, the controller was announced at a price of $79.99 USD, and sales there will begin in October. Simultaneously, the Xbox Series X from the same anniversary series will appear, priced at $899 USD.
This wireless accessory commemorates the 25th anniversary of the brand and features a translucent green casing inspired by the first Xbox console. It will be compatible with games for Xbox, Windows PCs, as well as mobile devices running iOS and Android.
In the design, the ABXY buttons retain their classic colors—green, blue, yellow, and red—while the upper bumpers (LB and RB) reference the old black and white buttons of the original Xbox controller, which was nicknamed 'Duke' in the early 2000s.
Following the price confirmation, this controller is likely to be the only product from the Xbox anniversary series that will officially reach the national market. Although Microsoft has never announced discontinuing the Xbox Series X in the country, the console has long ceased to be officially offered and has disappeared from store shelves. Currently, only the Xbox Series S is available in Brazilian retail, which can be found in the price range of around 4 thousand reais.
This festive peripheral accessory will join the controller designed for cloud gaming and the new Elite Series 3, which Microsoft certified with Anatel in May and which Tecnoblog exclusively revealed. However, these products do not yet have a set release date.
