Between 2017 and 2025, 143 trillion soums from the state budget were invested in developing both social and industrial infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance emphasized that during this period, major projects aimed at modernizing and expanding the scale of key facilities were implemented in the country.
In particular, the infrastructure of educational and medical institutions was significantly improved, leading to the creation of new learning places and enhanced healthcare capabilities. In the field of irrigation and land reclamation, water supply was improved across an area of 2.5 million hectares, and the reclamation status of another 1.8 million hectares was increased.
Furthermore, 2,000 kilometers of public roads, as well as bridges and overpasses, were built and repaired. Additionally, 15.3 thousand kilometers of networks for drinking water supply and sewage were laid, and 2,000 additional facilities were constructed.
It is planned that 28.2 trillion soums will be allocated for the development of 2,196 infrastructure objects in 2026.
