During archaeological excavations at the Boburtepa site in the Kamashinsky district of Kashkadarya region, remains of an ancient structure and a unique example of wall painting were found.
On the west wall of one of the rooms, an image of tulips and white flowers was discovered. The painting is executed on clay plaster and decorated with thin wavy lines of red hue. Over time, this drawing was covered by a layer of white lime plaster.
Judging by the massive walls and decorative elements of this building, it can be hypothesized that it may have served as a religious structure during the 4th–5th centuries AD. Specialists emphasize that future excavations will allow for a more detailed determination of the building's purpose, its architectural plan, and its historical significance.
