Raiza Wilson's film 'Nova,' featuring horror and sci-fi elements, postpones its premiere date

The creators of the highly anticipated horror-fantasy thriller 'Nova,' directed by Milo, have announced that the film, starring actress Raiza Wilson, will not be released in September of this year.

Director Milo shared his vision via his Instagram page, writing: 'She did not seek this world... This world was never ready for her arrival. Sivagami — The Arrival.' He also posted a poster with the inscription 'In cinemas from September.'

Raiza Wilson spoke about the difficulties encountered during the film's production, including having to overcome blood-sucking leeches, constant fog, and rain. The actress, known for her role in the film 'Pyaar Prema Kaadhal,' shared her experience working on the awaited project, noting that 'the film is structured as a story within a story. I play an important character who appears in flashbacks.'

The film combines elements of thriller, action, and science fiction. Raiza Wilson emphasized that she had never participated in such a role or story before, which attracted her to the project. Filming took place in the forests of Marayoor in Kerala. 'We even filmed inside sandalwood forests, where obtaining permission itself is a difficult process. Many problems arose—blood-sucking leeches, incessant fog and rain, frightening sounds of wild animals, and dirty, slippery trails. Before the trip, I thought filming would be quite easy. I did not expect it to be so demanding. I have never faced such difficulties in my previous films. Despite all this, we completed filming on schedule, without delays,' she reported.

The actress noted that director Milo always maintained an energetic and positive atmosphere on set, which made the difficulties seem less overwhelming. 'It is amazing that he chose such a complex story for his first feature film. It requires great courage. He worked very hard and deserves recognition. Since it rained most of the time, I often had to sit on set in wet clothes. The action scenes I performed were shot there.'

Raiza Wilson also mentioned that stunt master Vimal Rambo provided her with special training, and she had already undergone combat training for her film 'Mr. X,' which facilitated the execution of scenes in 'Nova.'

The cast alongside Raiza Wilson includes Dhruva from 'Aanmai Thavarael,' Adviti Shetty, Bengali actress Kritika Bisas, Malayalam actor Joe John Chakko, Sendrayan, as well as YouTubers Finally Swathika and Finally Krishna.
