Caoa Chery updates Tiggo 7 for the Brazilian market with body unification and addition of 7 airbags

Caoa Chery has implemented updates to the Tiggo 7 model intended for the Brazilian market. This mid-size SUV, which had already surpassed 110 thousand units sold and produced in the country, received several modifications covering design, interior finishing, equipment, and mechanical adjustments. A fundamental change is the standardization of the PHEV version's look across all other portfolio configurations, such as Sport and Pro.

The aesthetic modifications were applied to both the front and rear of the SUV, introducing new bumpers, headlight assemblies, and taillights. Additionally, 18-inch wheels were made available on the Sport version and 19-inch wheels on the Pro version. The overall dimensions of the vehicle were also increased; the length now reaches 4.55 meters, an increase of 5.3 cm due to bumper changes, and the width increased by 2.0 cm, reaching 1.86 meters. The trunk space was expanded to 565 liters.

The vehicle's interior was completely redesigned. A highlight is the new integrated digital instrument panel, composed of two 12.3-inch monitors, totaling 24.6 inches. The dashboard was also equipped with a new center console, a renewed multifunction steering wheel, and new front seats.

According to Caoa Chery, the model received improvements in acoustic insulation, including the use of Silent Glass windshield. Furthermore, the SUV now features native offline GPS. The entry-level Sport version had its 1.5 turbo flex engine calibration improved, now delivering 143 hp and 22.8 kgfm of torque. The brand's data indicates that the SUV can reach 100 km/h in 9.92 seconds, representing a reduction of 0.71 seconds compared to the previous model. The Tiggo 7 Sport also now includes driver seat ventilation, maintaining the focus on increasing the ratio between features and price in the line.

The Tiggo 7 Pro version continues to use the 1.6 turbo engine, which generates 180 hp and 28 kgfm of torque, reaching 0 to 100 km/h in 8.27 seconds. One of the most significant changes in the new Caoa Chery Tiggo 7 lies in safety: the entire line is now equipped with seven standard airbags, including the airbag positioned between the front seats.

The Pro version was enriched with more standard items, such as a 540° camera, Sony audio system with eight speakers, panoramic sunroof, electric trunk, and dual-zone digital air conditioning with N95 filter. The SUV also incorporates the ADAS Max Drive assistance package, which gathers all electronic systems present in the most complete version.
