The Ikhlas Association of students with disabilities received a grant from the Russian state corporation Rosatom to implement the environmental project EcoDay. Young volunteers with disabilities will participate in events for improving urban and natural territories, planting greenery, and raising awareness about ecology.
The program includes planting trees and shrubs, organizing environmental cleanup campaigns, as well as conducting thematic lectures and seminars. Participants will gain additional knowledge about the need for a responsible attitude towards nature and adopting environmentally friendly habits in daily life.
Another aspect of the project will be dedicated to public outreach. Young activists will create photo and video materials about the events being held and present reports on the results to attract new participants to ecological initiatives.
One of the key goals of the project is to form a sustainable community of young volunteers capable of continuing environmental protection activities even after the grant program ends.
In April 2026, the Ikhlas Association was recognized as the winner of a grant competition dedicated to environmentally and socially beneficial projects, which was held with the support of Rosatom and the E.M. Primakov Center for Foreign Policy Cooperation.
