The well-known television actress Shagun Sharma is currently participating in the show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi,' winning the affection of her fans with her charming appearance. Recently, Shagun discussed the topic of casting couch culture in the industry.
The actress revealed that she was asked to make compromises in exchange for a leading role. In a conversation with FilmiGyan, she admitted that she initially entered the industry because of good pay. However, over time, she felt she had played enough supporting roles and decided to try for a lead role.
Shagun recounted going through numerous auditions. One day, her manager informed her about a meeting with a representative from a channel, and she agreed to attend. During the meeting, the man commented on her beauty and offered her an audition. After the audition, she eagerly awaited the results.
When she inquired about the outcome, he replied that it was not easy. Since she had never studied acting, she asked for any feedback. The man then hinted that sometimes people become favorites of producers or channels, and getting a leading role is not that simple.
He mentioned that certain compromises must be made to secure a leading role, implying something more. Following this incident, Shagun did not participate in auditions for leading roles for a long time. Later, observing those who received leading roles, she assumed they achieved them through such concessions. However, later a friend helped her dispel this misconception.
