In the seventh episode of the program 'Mission Unlock,' Mina visited Danshan County in Anhui Province, eastern China. The purpose of the visit was to study changes in modern agriculture, with the local apple industry serving as a prime example.
During her investigation, she met Lin Yuan, a young entrepreneur who returned to his hometown to modernize traditional farming using smart technologies. However, his initiatives face skepticism and resistance from local farmers, highlighting the critical importance of building trust during agricultural transformation.
As her investigation progressed, Mina realized that one apple from Danshan symbolizes more than just an individual agricultural product. Behind it lies an integrated ecosystem that includes innovations in seed breeding, modern agricultural equipment, digital management, and current market distribution.
The essence of agricultural modernization lies not in the technology or new productive forces themselves, but in the ability of these new forces and corresponding methods of production to genuinely transform agrarian systems, gain the trust of farmers, and sustainably ensure competitiveness.
According to the 15-year plan (2026–2030), China intends to prioritize the development of rural areas and agriculture, strengthen long-term mechanisms for the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas, and accelerate the development of the modern agro-industrial complex.
