The Head of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan, Behzod Musaev, met with Matthias Follerth, the newly appointed German Ambassador to Uzbekistan. The meeting aimed to discuss expanding opportunities for organized employment for Uzbek citizens in Germany, as well as issues related to vocational training and learning the German language, according to UzDaily.uz.
The discussion focused on aligning workforce preparation with the current needs of the German labor market. There remains a high demand in Germany for medical personnel, drivers, hospitality and restaurant workers, as well as technical specialists.
The Uzbek side demonstrated its readiness to scale up vocational training programs for its citizens so that they meet the specific requirements and standards set by German employers.
Furthermore, both sides agreed to simplify visa application procedures for Uzbek citizens wishing to work in Germany. The meeting concluded with an agreement to involve additional German employers and educational institutions. This cooperation is aimed at expanding opportunities for organized labor migration and preparing Uzbek specialists for integration into the German labor market.
