This occurred against the backdrop of cooperation between Iran and Oman regarding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. Futures traded at 24,558 points, which is 87 points higher.
Most markets in the Asia-Pacific region showed growth, but investors remained cautious ahead of upcoming important reports and forecasts from Nvidia Corp, which were due later on Wednesday. Japan's Nikkei 225 rose, while South Korea's Kospi and Hong Kong's Hang Seng traded at 0.02% and 0.95%, respectively.
Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 closed up 0.3% and 0.32%, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite finished the session with a gain of 0.66%.
Oil prices continued to fall after a 2% drop in the previous session. This followed investor relief over news that Iran and Oman discussed an 'interim framework' aimed at resuming shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. September futures traded on the International Exchange at $85.43 per barrel, down 0.35%.
