China's exports and imports continue to stimulate the global economy through a dynamic flow of goods, ranging from products made under the 'Made in China' principle sent to every corner of the planet, to diverse global products featured on the shelves of Chinese supermarkets.
According to a poll conducted by CGTN among internet users worldwide, 87% of respondents believe that China, acting simultaneously as a 'super-buyer' and 'super-seller' amid global uncertainty, brings significant stability to world trade.
As a 'super-seller,' China provides the world with high-quality, affordable, and reliably stable supplies. Within this study, the top three categories of interest among internet users included intelligent devices, electric vehicles, and daily necessities produced in China.
A vast majority of 89.2% of respondents demonstrated support for Chinese exports, believing that Chinese products are competitive in the global market. Furthermore, 84.7% stated that advanced technology and high economic efficiency are the key advantages, while 80.4% agreed that China's exports benefit countries around the world.
Notably, 80.2% of respondents noted that most of the goods exported by China are products that other countries either cannot produce or produce at significantly higher costs, which is a natural consequence of international division of labor and comparative advantages.
Thanks to its enormous market, China provides opportunities for the entire world, and the Chinese market has become one of the most sought-after resources globally. In 2025, China ranked second in the world for import volume for the seventeenth consecutive year, and it served as the main export destination for nearly 80 countries and regions.
In the first seven months of the current year, China's imports from over 150 trading partners showed positive growth. Additionally, 89.8% of survey participants are convinced that China contributes to the creation of a significant number of jobs and tax revenues in a growing number of countries. 85.9% believe that China is actively increasing imports and supporting balanced trade development.
In May of this year, China fully implemented a zero-tariff policy for 53 African countries with diplomatic relations with China, and 80.1% of respondents approved this step, viewing it as evidence of China's sincerity in further opening markets and sharing dividends.
Overall, 85.7% of respondents believe that the benefits of increased consumption levels in China spread throughout the world, helping developing countries find broad sales markets for their unique products. Moreover, 90.9% agree that China helps develop the economies of resource- and export-oriented countries by actively promoting universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization.
The poll was published on CGTN platforms in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian, involving 8,864 users who expressed their opinions within 24 hours.
