There is a residential complex where more than 7000 residents have managed to organize a system that allows for sending almost zero waste to landfills. The complex produces about 800 kg of waste daily.
Instead of simply throwing away waste, the residents developed a comprehensive system based on waste separation, recycling, and sustainable waste management. Thanks to this, daily waste is turned into something that can be processed, recycled, or reused.
The result of this model is that over 100 thousand tons of waste have been kept from going to landfills. This example demonstrates how residents turned the idea of sustainable development into a working system.
This raises the question: if waste management can work at this scale within a single residential complex, why can other communities across India not achieve the same result?
