Renowned culinary book author Neo Nontso has announced the release of her second recipe collection titled 'Love and Lobola'. This well-known food entrepreneur from Instagram, who has received awards, presented the book to her followers on her popular page Dine With Neo.
Raised in East London, Eastern Cape, Nontso was surrounded by a family of talented chefs from childhood, which fostered her own passion for cooking. While sharing a video where she first opens the book, she spoke about the contents of 'Love and Lobola.'
She emphasized that the book is not just a collection of recipes, but a reflection of memories, traditions, love, and meals that have shaped her life. Nontso wrote: 'Every recipe has its own story, and every page is a small piece of my heart.'
In a separate post, Nontso explained that the events in her life related to becoming a wife and preparing to be a mother inspired 'Love and Lobola'. She mentioned that a year ago her husband traveled to her village to pay lobola, after which God gave them the greatest gift.
'While I became a wife and prepared to be a mother, He granted me the grace to write the most personal culinary collection of my career. Love & Lobola is my story of modern African romance, told through recipes and rituals,' she shared.
Currently, 'Love and Lobola' is available for pre-order. It is worth noting that Nontso's first collection, '@dinewithneo – My Insta Feast', won two international Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in 2023.
