According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in parts of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh on August 25. Furthermore, heavy rainfall is also predicted in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Eastern Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Vidarbha, and Central Maharashtra.
On August 26, there is also a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in some places in Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rainfall is also highly likely in several states including Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Central Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and the Northeast.
If your travel plans are for the northeastern or hilly regions, it is crucial to exercise special caution. Rain is expected in several places in Arunachal Pradesh between August 25-26 and again between August 29-31. Rain may also occur in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura between August 27-30.
Rain may continue in several places in Uttarakhand from August 25 to 31, and heavy rainfall is also forecast in some areas between August 29-31. Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh may also see rain this week.
Rain is expected in several places in Konkan and Goa until August 30, while rainfall is likely to continue in Coastal Karnataka until August 31. Rain is anticipated in several places in Kerala and Lakshadweep between August 25-28.
Thunderstorms and strong winds may occur in parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep. Wind speeds in some places could reach up to 50-60 kilometers per hour.
IMD has also warned of a risk of flash floods in parts of Madhya Pradesh, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur. Low-lying areas may flood due to continuous rainfall.
