Thirteen-year-old North West, who is already actively building a career in music, has become the latest star to grace the cover of Dazed magazine. In an interview, she shared details about her growing musical journey and her seemingly ordinary life aspirations.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter appeared on the cover of the Fall 2026 issue of Dazed. The photography was done by film director Gus Van Sant, and the styling was handled by Imru Asha.
However, attention was drawn to North's plans for life outside the spotlight. When asked what she would do if she weren't an artist, she replied that she would like to have a regular job, specifically naming Starbucks.
"I still want to work. I want to work, for example, at Starbucks next year," she told Dazed. North, who is currently 13, added that she plans to start working there when she turns 14 because she wants to experience 'a normal job.'
These statements come against the backdrop of North's existing successes in the music industry. In May, she released her debut six-track EP titled "N0rth4evr" and performed at major music festivals such as Rolling Loud and Summer Smash.
Despite her young age, North demonstrates a serious approach to music. When asked about the worst advice she has received, she cited the advice to start a career later. She stated: "It's kind of like, no, this is my hobby, this is what I love doing in life."
Furthermore, she described her ideal day as time spent rehearsing before recording in the studio. North's cover in Dazed appears as she continues to shape her identity separately from her famous parents; the magazine describes her as ready to be seen on her own terms. Nevertheless, at the moment, her music career seems to take priority, and the dream of working in a regular coffee shop may have to wait.
