Indian company Fire-Boltt, known for manufacturing smartwatches and other wearable devices, has entered the smartphone market. Under its new brand boltt, the company has introduced two phones: boltt Ace 5G and boltt Evo. Both devices belong to the budget segment and are equipped with a large 6000 mAh battery, large displays, and various artificial intelligence-based features.
Despite the already massive smartphone market in India, demand for budget models remains the highest. This is why boltt began its promotion with phones priced around 10,000 rupees. Previously, Fire-Boltt was primarily known as a smartwatch brand, and entering the smartphone market marks a new phase for the company.
The boltt Evo model is the more affordable option of the two presented. It is designed for users looking for a large screen and long battery life at a minimal price. The phone is equipped with a 6.79-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which ensures smoother display during scrolling and general use.
The Evo is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor. The rear camera has a 50MP resolution with AI support, and the front camera is 8MP. One of the main advantages of this model is the 6000 mAh battery, which the company claims is designed for extended use. The boltt Evo is available with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage; there is also a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Storage capacity can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card, and the device runs on Android 16.
The boltt Ace 5G is positioned as the more powerful device in the new lineup, featuring 5G connectivity support. This smartphone also has a large 6.79-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It uses the Unisoc T8200 processor. Regarding photography capabilities, the Ace 5G is equipped with a 64MP main camera, and the front camera for selfies and video calls has an 8MP resolution.
Like the Evo, the Ace 5G is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Additional features include NFC, a side fingerprint sensor, and memory expansion up to 1TB. Furthermore, the smartphone incorporates various AI functions.
The new boltt smartphones integrate numerous Google features, including Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and Google Lens. The camera modules also feature AI functions such as AI Portrait Mode, AI Night Mode, and other image enhancement tools. The company aimed to align with current trends in the budget smartphone market by including these capabilities in its first model.
The starting price for the boltt Evo under a special introductory offer is set at 9,999 rupees. The starting price for the boltt Ace 5G is 12,999 rupees. The cost will vary depending on the selected RAM and storage configurations. Both models will be sold through the online platform Flipkart.
