At the Cadet World Judo Championships in Guayaquil, the national team of Uzbekistan won a bronze medal in the mixed team competition, defeating France with a score of 4:1, according to the Uzbekistan Judo Federation.
On the final day of the championship, which involved 12 top global teams in the team standings, Uzbekistan confidently beat the French squad to secure third place.
Thanks to the team bronze, Uzbekistan concluded the World Championship having won a total of seven medals. In individual disciplines, athletes under the guidance of head coach Aurelio Ciprian-Flis won one gold, one silver, and four bronze medals, allowing Uzbekistan to enter the top three in the overall medal count among 60 participating countries.
Individual Competition Results
Iroda Sirozhiddinova received a gold medal in the under 40 kg category, and Jurabek Eshpulatov won silver in the under 90 kg category. Bronze medals were awarded to Bobur Yusupov in the under 55 kg category, Bekhruzbek Usmonov in the under 73 kg category, Alina Kolyucheva in the under 44 kg category, and Charosu Hikmatova in the under 48 kg category.
Thus, the Uzbek cadet team concluded the global tournament with seven awards: one gold, one silver, and five bronze medals, including the bronze in the mixed team competition.
