Students have been informed about the procedure for submitting documents to reside in dormitories of state higher education institutions. The application can be submitted either through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services or via the kontrakt.edu.uz system. The start of application acceptance was announced on August 1st, and the process will continue until the end of the current academic year.
To apply through the my.gov.uz portal, authorization in the personal account is required, and the service 'Accommodation in Student Dormitory' must be selected under the 'Popular Services' section. After this, the system will automatically pull personal data, passport information, and details about the educational institution. The student must verify this information, confirm their application, and agree to the terms of the public offer. Data regarding the permanent place of residence and living quarters must be entered manually.
It is important to separately specify the grounds for receiving benefits, if any. For example, if there is another student in the family studying on a contract basis, their passport data must be entered into the system. Certain categories of citizens are determined automatically by the system. Benefits are provided to children from families included in the Unified Register of Social Protection, as well as those listed in the 'Iron Notebook', 'Women's Notebook', or 'Youth Notebook'. Priority is also given to persons with disabilities of Group I and II and orphans, although in some cases supporting documents are required.
A student who is entitled to preferential accommodation after the application is reviewed will be issued a special referral. This document must be presented to the responsible staff of the university to ensure placement ahead of the queue. Other applicants will be placed according to the order of priority, which can be tracked through the personal account on my.gov.uz.
It should be noted that there is no fixed cost of living in state dormitories; the amount of payment is determined by the council of each specific university.
