Bajaj Auto plans to introduce a new type of motorcycle to the Indian market. Previously, the company produced models focused on daily use and high performance, but this new product will be its first model in the enduro segment.
This motorcycle has been tested multiple times in India, and rumors suggest its release is scheduled for 2026. However, Bajaj has not yet provided official information about this model.
There is a possibility that Bajaj will debut its enduro in Brazil first, with its arrival in India potentially coinciding with the holiday season. Development of this motorcycle has already begun in Brazil.
Valdir Ferreira, Bajaj's executive director in Brazil, hinted that the motorcycle could be released as a Christmas gift. It is speculated that the model name might be Bajaj Trekker, which the company has already registered as a trademark, although official confirmation is pending.
The motorcycle's design will resemble other modern enduro models. It will feature a long front profile, a beak-style mudguard, protective fork shrouds, a long single seat, and an elevated exhaust.
Spoked wheels were observed during testing. There is a suggestion that the motorcycle might be equipped with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. This configuration would provide better road stability and aid in light off-road conditions.
Bajaj may utilize the engine from the Pulsar N250, which is a powerful variant. The company might install a 249 cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine in the Pulsar delivers 24.5 hp and 21.5 Nm of torque and is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox.
Bajaj may modify this engine to adapt it to the requirements of an enduro motorcycle, which would allow for changes in its output power. Direct competitors to this model will include the Hero Xpulse 210, Yezdi Adventure, and Suzuki V-Storm SX. Using this engine will help the company maintain a low cost for the motorcycle.
